Farming Innovation at Work: Part II

The Colemans of Dillon County have finished their mini sprayer and have already used it to apply fertilizer to over 200 acres of wheat in soft fields.

The boom is 30 ft. and the sprayer is set up for variable rate application.

Here is a view of one of the rear tracks sitting in a wet spot in the corner of a field.  A full-sized sprayer would have made some rather noticeable ruts and could have gotten bogged down, but this little guy took off like there was nothing to it.

Here is Caleb cruising right through a wet spot on the edge of a field.

Now that the Colemans have just about finished up spraying wheat, they are considering reconfiguring the boom to spray small research plots.  Here is a video of the sprayer in action.
