This is an immature thrips. Though they are quite small and difficult to see, thrips can cause significant feeding damage in crops like peanuts and cotton. They can also spread viruses like Tomato Spotted Wilt Virus in tomatoes, peppers, tobacco, peanuts, etc. Thresholds and treatments vary per crop, so contact your local Clemson Extension agent for more info.
