Question of the Week: Corn Earworm

Last week the question was:  What is wrong with this corn?

There is a corn earworm eating this ear.  Most field corn hybrids now have Bt insecticide traits that help prevent feeding damage from caterpillars, though the caterpillar has to eat some of the corn to be exposed.  This corn earworm won’t make it much longer.
