Last week the question was: What are these things eating this eggplant?
These are Colorado potato beetle larvae. They are named for their habit of feeding on potatoes, though they will feed on a number of other crops and weeds in the Solanacea family. If left unchecked, CPB can cause significant defoliation. Control methods include proper crop rotation, destruction of crop debris at the end of the season, or chemical control.
