Question of the Week: Torpedograss

Last week the question was:  Which grassy weed is this that produces stolons that are shaped like torpedoes at their tips?


The question gave it away.  Its torpedograss.  This is a grassy weed that grows in lawns and pastures and loves wet areas like the edges of ponds.  Its spreads by the torpedo shaped stolons and can be a tough weed to control.  Here is a good page from LSU with some more info.
